The Rev. Peter A. Lane is vicar of both Trinity Episcopal Church, Hampton, N.H., as well as St. Andrew’s-by-the-Sea. Father Lane has served churches in Washington, D.C., and Newport, R.I., where he was very invovled in ministry with the elderly.
He has also been very committed to building programs that address the root problems of homelessness. Since returning to the seacoast of New Hampshire in 2000, Lane has served on the board of directors of CrossRoads House Homeless Shelter in Portsmouth, and was a founding board member of the Seacoast Interfaith Hospitality Network. He has also actively worked with Trinity Church to build that congregation’s outreach ministries through a pastoral visitation program in area nursing homes, a food pantry, soup kitchen, and the Hobbs House Help Center, which provides counsel and funds to enable families to remain in their homes.
Father Lane is married to Kate Reed Lane, a former senior vice-president at Children’s Hospital, Boston, and together they are the proud parents of Jacob and Sarah Lane.
